Account hacked

Hello all!

Some of you may have noticed some strange things happening in the community this afternoon. It appears that maintainer sugarimp's account was hacked, and the hacker then used the access to attack the anthropologist community.

Big kudos to the LJ abuse team who responded to my report with amazing speed. I believe we got away with minimal damage done, but please bear with me while I make sure that all our settings are restored. Feel free to contact me if you notice something still amiss.

Once again, thanks to all of the posters and the lurkers who make anthropologist great!

Thanks to Malkin and Good Luck to Sugarimp

Hello from your Community Creator,
I also talked to LJ support and am so glad they got the problem fixed as quickly as they did. They deserve a round of applause for timely and helpful customer service.

Lets all cross our fingers for Sugarimp, a great maintainer and contributor. Being hacked must be traumatizing, hopefully they haven't done any permanent damage.

I'll be keeping a close eye on things for the next few days to make sure everything is functioning like it should, if anyone sees any problems with the community please leave a comment over in my personal journal and I'll take care of it as quickly as possible.

Thank you to all 4,004 members for reading and contributing to our wonderful community. It's a treasure and I truly realized how much I love it when I thought it was in danger.

Additionally I am creating an archive of our great community, comments included, using the shareware LJArchive. If anything ever happens again, there will be a backup. Anyone can do this to their own journal and to community journals as well.
